Home Equity Give Sellers Options in Today’s Market

Homeownership is one of the best ways to invest in your financial future, especially as your home equity grows. Home equity is a form of forced savings that can work to your advantage as the value of your home appreciates. Across the country, home equity was increasing before the health crisis swept our nation, and it continues to grow throughout the year, giving sellers powerful options in this market.
According to the just-released Q2 Homeowner Equity Insights Report by CoreLogic:
“U.S. homeowners with mortgages (roughly 63% of all properties) have seen their equity increase by a total of nearly $620 billion since the second quarter of 2019, an increase of 6.6%, year over year.”

How To File A Claim For $125 or Free Credit Reporting

Equifax Data Breach Settlement

If you were affected by the 2017 Equifax data breach, you can now file a claim for a piece of the settlement.
The credit-reporting company has agreed to pay between $575 million and $700 million to settle state and federal investigations related to a massive security incident that exposed the personal information of more than 147 million Americans two years ago.
The settlement, which was announced Monday and is considered the largest ever for a data breach, has preliminary court approval.
The official settlement website,  www.equifaxbreachsettlement.com, has been posted and is accepting claims.
To confirm you're eligible to file a claim, enter your last name and the last six digits of your Social Security number on the site or call the Settlement Administrator at 1-833-759-2982.
